Situated overlooking the safe and sandy beach of the beautiful Kilnaughton Bay, our newly-built bungalow is in the style of a Hebridean long house and is located some 2 miles from Port Ellen. Samhchair is Gaelic for 'tranquillity' and our bed and breakfast enjoys panoramic views to Port Ellen, the Mull of Kintyre and Antrim, whilst allowing guests to observe local wildlife such as Golden Eagles, buzzards, otters, seals and dolphins. We have one twin and one double bedroom. Each offers en-suite facilities, satellite TV, free wireless internet connection, tea/coffee making facilities, hair dryer and iron. Drying facilities are also available on request. We also have a guests' lounge where you can relax in comfort, play board games, listen to music or watch wide screen TV.

Situated close to air and ferry ports, our bed and breakfast makes an ideal base for touring the island. Close by are the Ardbeg, Laphroaig and Lagavulin distilleries, along with the championship Machrie Golf Links, the Kildalton high cross and the Oa nature reserve and monument. Popular outdoor activities include fishing, walking and cycling and we have two bikes available. If you are interested in venturing further afield, no destination on Islay is more than 45 minutes away.
