The room was clean and comfortable and facilities worked well. Our hosts Jean and Andrew were friendly and helpful and provided a homely atmosphere. The food was well prepared and nourishing. Woodside B&B is situated in a very quiet street which is an important factor for us.

Location

Ballater is a good central location for easy sightseeing in all directions eg. Braemar, Aberdeen, Cairngorm National Park.

The room was well decorated with good sized ensuite. Breakfast was always freshly prepared according to our liking. And above all, our host was very friendly and always there to help. We were given an exceptionally warm welcome.

Location

The small town of Balleter is nice and there are great places to visit around there such as Cairngorm nature reserve and mountain. There are a couple of good restaurants but they close early, approx at 9pm.

Room was very clean, well equipped with drinks, hairdryer, adequate lighting for reading and writing, very comfortable bed and plenty wardrobe facilities. Breakfast was well presented, variety of foods was very good and tasty .Owners were very cheerful and helpful. This is a return visit as I help with Duke of Edinburgh 's award scheme in their outdoor expeditions in this area and I prefer B7B to camping!!

Location

I live 1 hour's drive away so know the area for its beauty and outdoor activities.Close to royal estate for tourists.

We received a warm welcome from Jean. Our room was small but very comfortable and had everything you could want, including recommendations of places to eat and things to do in the area. Breakfast was great, a full Scottish cooked breakfast with lots of coffee! All in all a great place to stay.

Location

We were only passing through the area on our way to Inverness, but after getting there I really wish we had stayed another night. There seems to be a lot to do - short walks, castles, village shopping - and we could have easily filled in the whole weekend. Ballater is an easy drive from Braemar and Balmoral so was a good base for us.
