Rooms were beautifully furnished. LOts of little extras were provided in a very tasteful manner eg shortbread biscuits, milk in a jug etc. Morag gave us a very warm welcome despite the facr that a breakdown caused us to arrive later than expected. The children were very well received by Morag and her family.
Variety of fruit was very impressive at breakfast and table very tastefully laid.
Location
Mainly visiting friends who live in Braes. Visited a beautiful beach near there.

We had a wonderful stay for several days at Westwards B&B! It was an outstanding value, and our hostess and host are a kind, friendly Gaelic couple and very knowledgeable about Skye. Our room was luxurious, and looked out over a beautiful garden, meadows and mountain view. The entire home was immaculately clean. Breakfast was huge and delicious, and we were given a multitude of choices. The en-suite bathroom with stand-up shower had a window over a little stream and we enjoyed the sound of water tumbling over the rocks. We truly regretted to leave Westwards and Skye, and completely enjoyed our stay.
Location
Westwards is located absolutely ideally on Skye. It is so central, that everything you might wish to see or do is only a short, very scenic drive away. It is near Portree, the capital with a variety of restaurants and shops for anything you might need to buy, and a theater where we took in some wonderful Scottish music in the evening. We drove a different peninsula each day of our visit, and took in the castles, hikes to mountain vistas, and walks along the shore. We would recommend a stop at Aros Center in Portree as a great place to learn about the history and nature at Skye and to help you plan how you might spend your time. We were fortunate to be on the island when the seals whelped, and took a boat trip to see the newborns. We also enjoyed several museums and the distillery. We had such a wonderful time, we regretted that we didn't have at least a fortnight to take it all in!
