Very clean and warm. Not too far from Princes St and all the amenities. The master bedroom was palacial and the bed huge! Unsuitable for those with mobility problems ,however the ground floor should be accessible for less mobile. Welcome pack was a nice touch but a bottle of wine (as we have had in other apartments) would have been nice. However these are merely suggestions and not criticisms. All in all a very good venue and we would certainly return. Please thank Brian and James.

The rooms were spacious and very well appointed. All the equipment was of good quality. The manager and staff were very helpful and accomodating. Food is not provided as it is a rental apartment. However a "starter pack" of essentials was provided on arrival - a nice gesture.

Location

The location is excellent - it is not in the central city yet Downtown Edinburgh is only a short walk away.

very warm welcome including thoughtful provision of fresh milk, tea, coffee; much appreciated on a late arrival well located for our needs well equipped kitchen and excellent size rooms, very useful having two bathrooms

Location

Edinburgh a fabulous city - too much to see to mention here and on this occasion were there for a family wedding. Easy access to Leith waterfront (bus stop outside apartment, or 15-minute drive)with a superb range of eating places - can recommend the King's Wark for food as well as assorted fish restaurants. A pleasant walk down to Waitrose and a lovely coffee shop (eat the delicious cakes then walk off the calories by climbing back up the hill to the apartment!)

The apartment was excellent , clean well kept and maintained. The host was very hospitable and friendly. It was a 10 minute walk to the West end and to all the tourist attractions as well as being within easy walking distance of Stockbridge. As we knew our way around the city we were able to drive to other shopping areas easily , like Blackhall. The only draw back was the stove top but we did eventually master it , but not the oven.

Location

A walk around Stockbridge is well worth the time. Explore the side streets and you will come across hidden treasures and historic bridges over The water of Leith dating back to before the last century . If you walk up St Bernards street you will be going back in time.

Excellent value for money, especially given the large rooms, good appointments (such as a king bed and a heated bathroom floor!), cleanliness, and access to transportation as well as shops and a good supermarket to get food for eating in. The owner lives in the building, and was attentive and always available, though we had no problems and thus really no reason to contact him. We definitely plan to return.

Location

For first-time tourists West End might not be central enough, but we didn't mind the walk to either the Old or New Town; both were no more than a mile in our estimation. The gas fire made us feel cozy, and we enjoyed being able to settle into comfy furniture for a good read or some TV watching. The local shops are excellent: one of the best cheesemongers is a few blocks away. In addition, it's easy to get to the Saturday farmers' market, where the food is scrumptious. The walk to the Botanical Garden is lovely, and short by our standards, and the garden is outstanding; the modern art museums are just a few blocks away as well. West End's owner has access to a private garden, and shares that with visitors. It runs beside the river, and is a pleasant, quiet escape.

Excellent large flat with very good facilities, spotlessly clean, warm welcome, within easy distance of all facilities.

Location

Particularly enjoyed visiting Stockbridge which is only a five to ten minute walk from the flat, nice quiet area in the evening with lots of good restaurants.

The accommodation really was excellent, the climb up 2 flights of stairs was well worth it. The rooms were all very clean, well decorated and obviously well cared for. My only :complaint: was lack of cooking utensils, and perhaps a bowl to wash up in, although there was a very good dihwasher.

Location

Location was great and a 10 minute walk took you onto princes street, and lots of attractions. Would recommend Edinburgh Zoo and Royal Yacht. Walk to Calton Hill were views were superb. Lothian buses were very cheap at £3 for return journeys
