The room was clean but without any but the most basic furniture; nothing at all to make the room welcoming. There were several heavy doors we had to get through with a wheelchair which made access difficult. (We appreciate that a firedoor is required). The bathroom was fine and was accessible for a wheelchair. Breakfast was fine, the food kept in containers rather than served individually which was the case everywhere else we stayed. The charge for the room was much more than anywhere else (over 17 days) with really very little to offer.
Location
We were just passing through on our way to the Hebrides.

The decoration in our room was old and dull, and we had no shower (there was a shower above the bath but without a shower attachment)and our television was lacking a remote control unit to make it work. When I asked the staff about the lack of the remote control I was informed that someone must have stolen it and was then given another one along with a book of instructions on how to programme it.After studying the book for half an hour we gave up.
The breakfast was good with a good selection of food, the evening meal was a carvery and we felt a bit expensive,so we ate in the bar next door which is owned and operated by the same family, and we were satisfied with the food and the prices there.
Location
Tyndrum is a very small town with only a couple of bars and shops,so not a lot of choice for eating out. However the scenery and the surrounding walking area was very beautiful. It is on the route of the west highland way and is therefore perfect for an overnight stop.
