Tigh Na Mairi was more than we had hoped for in terms of friendliness, cleanliness and the breakfast. It would have received outstanding but for a couple of minor refurbishment projects that the owner explained were 'ongoing'
Location
Tigh Na Mairi is an ideal stopping off point for travellers touring west to east of Scotland and is well situated for people on the trail of Nessy

The standard of decor throughout the house and outdoors is very poor. When we arrived we were shocked by the outdoor appearance of the house. Also we have never stayed in a b&b where no fire procedure was in place. We feel we could have had much better for our much needed break but we stayed rather than cause offense.
Location
Fort Augustus is beautiful and this property is in a prime position but, quite frankly, maybe it's time you (Scottish Accommodation Index) paid a visit.

Julie is really a nice girl, you feel home at your best friend! so quiet at night you sleep so well!

take the bus (at 9.48) go til Laggan Lock and walk back the glenway with coffee at the tearoom near swing bridge abderchalder

The view from our room was a 5 star rating, the hospitality and our hostess good humor excellent. When the undergoing restoration and renewal of the house and rooms are finished everything will be excellent. Nice to have acces to a refirgerator.
Location
The location right next to the canal and with a super view to the hills Tigh Na Mairi is a good starting point for touring Loch Ness, Fort Augustus and Glen Affric.
