Very spacious room & excellent toilet facilities,(both very clean) & being On the ground floor too helped immensely as we had two large suit cases. We stayed 3 nights & our beds were made each day & towels etc replaced-never struck that in a B&B before. This place was more like a 4 star hotel, than the B & B it was listed under-the breakfast & selection on offer, was up to 5 star hotel offerings We had used B&B's for about 8 weeks of travel around Britain, & I can truthfully state, that no other B&B came anywhere near matching or surpassing acommodation provided here at the Victorian House & that includes B&B's that we had to pay 60 or 70 pound a night. Really great value & highly recommended, as staff were very pleasant & most helpful
Location
Good location, handy to the business/city centre & buses. I was here for thye World Pipe Band contest & walked to the Glasgow Green where the competition were held in 1/2 an hour & naturally saw many intersting monuments, squares etc on my walk

This was my second stay at the Victorian House hotel. This time I stayed with my husband and 16 year old nephew in a family room. The rooms could definitely use some updating, but the location on Renfrew street can't be beat. The staff is friendly and courteous. I remember some of them from my last visit two years ago and one of them, a nice young man on the from reception desk, even remembered me. We appreciated the fact that there was wireless internet connection in the lobby and felt confident enough letting my nephew sit out there and use it at night after we got home from sightseeing and visiting family. I felt very safe in the hotel as there is someone at the front desk 24/7. The breakfast is good and I love the breakfast room. My biggest complaint would be the bathroom shower which is small and awkward to use especially for the men. I also liked the fact that there was a table and chairs and a bench outside the front of the hotel that you could relax in that was private from the street. All in all I would definitely stay there again as I found it good value for the money.
Location
The location of the Victorian House is just down and across the street from the Glasgow School of Art and runs parallel to Sauchiehall Street with lots of shops and restaurants. It has walking access to the train and bus stations. And if you are a walker you could walk to the West End, Kelvingrove Park and Glasgow University from the hotel. The location was perfect for us.

Good, just a bit small and maybe shower gel or soap would have be helpful, as there are always problems at the airport check in, espically when you only have hand luggage. The staff very friendly and helpful. Access to internet would have been useful, in this period due to the vulcaneo ashes, I had to contact my daughter in Italy in order to be updated. But I would definitelty reccomend the hotel and if we return to glasgow, we would stay at the Victorian House
Location
We found glasgow a wonderful city to visit. The scottish people are very friendly and helpful, sometimes it was difficult to understand them when they spoke in dialect. The tour bus was great, a pity that there wasn't much in Italian at the museums, all handouts and phamlets in english, difficult to explain to group if you are not a professional guide.

We were in twin room 3rd floor - a lift would be beneficial.
Shower unit requires repairs on ceiling and around the shower base unit.
Location
In a very good location for shopping and very handy to the Bus Station.
