The Old Schoolhouse was realy nice. Wonderful facelities exept that we missed to get a better ventilation in the kitchenarea particulaly. It got very hot when we prepared hot food. Gordon was a very nice host and everything was 1st class.
Location
Edinburgh was our main goal for the days we were at the Old Schoolhouse 2. It was a city with many attractions and a wide range of shops to go crazy in. We went to Mary Kings Close, Arthurs Seat and Edinburgh Castle. We vere only in Edinburgh for 3 days. We vent on to The Highlands for 5 days. What we will remember is, the kindnes we met from the Scotshmen everywehere we came.

The rooms were all immaculately decorated to a high modern standard. The accessories, furnishings and equipment were all of an excellent standard too - not cheap stuff! The owner met us on the night and was brilliant all the way through the booking period.
Location
The apartment was only 5 minutes away from Princes Street whcih is the main shopping street and very central to reach all of the sights and attractions.

What can I say - it was excellent. Everything was top notch but to be outstanding it would have had to include maid service.
Location
The area where the apartment is located is great - especially the walk along the Leith. Our private tour guide is native to Edinburgh and even he was impressed with the area - he didn't even know it existed. Central to everything and walking to attractions/sites was not a problem.

Brilliant location - Dean Village is historic and scenic. Enjoyed strolling along the Water of Leith. Gordon was very helpful and welcoming. Could do with a little more local information - maybe a map with points of interest in the immediate area, but otherwise we had everything we needed for our stay.
Location
Visted Scotlands People on Princes Street for the day. This is a must for family history researchers with Scottish ancestors. The building is beautiful, and the staff friendly and helpful. Edinburgh Zoo was enjoyable, especially the penguin parade.

Excellent location in a peaceful setting but still only a 5-10 minute walk from Princes Street and restaurants. Great if you want some where quiet to come back to for a chilled glass of wine and a good night's sleep after a hectic day sight-seeing! Bright airy living room. Gordon was extremely welcoming and helpful.
Location
When you feel you've had enough of the shops, I'd recommend the 3 mile walk along the river to Leith - good fish restaurant and pubs Try The Kings Wark for Sunday breakfast or The Shore for lunch and Jazz (catch the bus back!). For real ale fans try The Oxford Bar, Young Street and The Half Way House, Flesh Market Close in Edinburgh.

An unusual layout as the kitchen is upstairs and the lounge and one bedroom on the main floor with the other two bedrooms downstairs. However, fully equiped, very convenienet to facilities and parking available. A thoroughly enjoyable stay
