The cleanliness of the whole establishment was excellent. My room was for a single person, very comfortable and clean, with more than adequate en-suite bathroom/shower facilities, with just the right amount of accessories.
The price I paid for the accomodation was really very reasonable. Very good breakfasts, with care and attention to details all round. Very friendly proprietors, a very cosy home from home.
Location
I am retired, and heavily involved in researching my family genealogy. The Jays Guest House, was within ideal walking distance of two major cemeteries I needed to vist, the Bereavement Services Department, the Archives Office, The Aberdeen Family History Society and also the Blackfriars Pub for a few tasty meals and a brew.

Location
We had hired a car so having a car park behind the house was fantastic.

Even though I only stayed for one night at the Jays Guest House, it was a lovely stay.
The room was fantastic, very tastefully furnished, absolutely clean, and the en-suite was perfect and complete with everything I needed. It looked really new, by the way.
Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and the landlord and landlady were really helpful about directions and kindly offered to call a taxi for us to go to the airport the following morning.
Value for money was excellent, I would definitely go back to the Jays if I came back to Aberdeen.
Location
The location is perfect both if you are going to the Old Aberdeen University (5 minutes walk) and really close to the city centre: 5 minutes or so in bus, which has a convenient stop a few steps by the Guest House.
