I think the matress needs to be replaced. Otherwise the room was great, clean & fresh. Breakfasts were good, nourishing & plentiful.
The Receptionist is a treasure. She was so polite, friendly and knowledgeable about the area & Glasgow's facilities in general.
Location
I was pleased I chose the location as it was quite central, within walking distance of several locations of interest. It's also in a good location for the tourist bus & close to undeground stations when I got tired of walking.

Room was fine, value for the money and a good breakfast
Location
Incredibly hard to find as Alfred Terrace is not on any road but above the shops and can only be accessed by walking up steps. If you are driving it is almost impossible to park anywhere nearby or to park at all overnight.
However it is near the University end of town if that is of interest to you.

Room was fairly spacious, beds comfortable, room on top floor (walk up), water pressure in shower too low, breakfast good, staff competent and friendly
Location
In the university district of West End. Lots of restaurants, pubs, music.

I reserved 2 rooms for 2 separate dates in ground level rooms since my 82 year old parents were traveling with me. The first date we were given upstairs rooms but the rooms were ok though it was quite interesting getting baggage and my parents up the stairs. The 2nd date we were given ground level rooms. One room was ok but the other was much substandard...it would be better to use it as a storage room. In all 4 rooms the lighting was very poor and there was no soap, shampoo, etc. The substandard room was also very warm and to get air we had to prop the door open until bedtime to get ventilation. I requested another room but would have had to change floors to do that.
The breakfast was good and the staff was very helpful when called upon but I expected more for the cost.
Location
The hotel is a short walk to the Botanical Gardens or catching the sightseeing bus where you can hop on/off at various attractions. We needed to leave the hotel to get to Queen Street to take the rail several times and the cost for the taxi ranged from 2.60 to 6.40 (pounds)for the same distance. Go figure. We found out that the difference was due to the different taxis. The taxi from the Glasgow airport to the hotel was 21.80 but returning to the airport we requested they call a private taxi and the fee was 13.00 for the private hire. I wish I had known this earlier on but I hope it helps others.

I would rate the Heritage Hotel very highly for helpful & friendly staff, spotlessly clean and a great breakfast.
Standard of the room was exactly what we expected given the price & star rating. A little dated but perfectly adequate.
Location
Thought it was an excellent location in the West End, near to the Botanical Gardens, Byers Road and the Huntingdon Museum.
