The rooms were emaculate and contained everything that you need. lovely lounge overlooking the sea which gave a great view of the setting sun. The location of the Guest House is in a very quiet side street. We could not believe how quiet it was. Our host was always cheerful and informative, alway asking as to our needs. Breakfast first class in both amount and content.
Location
Five minutes walk from the town centre.

After a long journey it was so nice to receive a friendly welcome. Our room was absolutely spotless and the breakfast was truly the best we had over our 2 week visit to Scotland. The Haven is located well within walking distance to town, but we enjoyed a walk along the sea shore that was literally just beyond the garden. The lounge was spacious and very comfortable with a sea view. This is the place to come if you are looking for a quite and relaxing getaway.
Location
We took in the Robert Burns Cottage and Culzean Castle. The castle is a don't miss, by far the most impressive of our entire visit.

We so enjoyed our stay at The Haven B&B in Scotland. The bedroom and lounging room were very inviting providing a lovely view of the Firth of Clyde. The bed was 5*,offering supurb comfort and our BEST night's sleep of our 14 day journey. The location is most convenient, only a block from the beach and walking distance to many shops and resturants. Our host, Douglas is quite the cook; preparing smoked salmon, home made jams, and classical music to breakfast by. The extras; large soft towels, Q-Tips and cotton balls in the bathroom, cookies and tea in the bedroom, were appreciated. We found this B&B to live up to it's name, "The Haven" and would highly recommend it. Hat's off To Douglas, a wonderful host!!
Location
The Haven is located in the beach town of Ayr, one block from a lovely beach with magnificant views and within walking distance to the many shops. Douglas recommended, "Cecchinis Ristoranti" for lunch or dinner. The Italian food was GREAT and the atmosphere extremely welcoming! We found The Haven in Ayr a convenient and interesting location between Glasgow and PortPatrick on our way to Culzean Castle, Turnberry Golf Course, along the magnificant costal drive. We compare the coastal drive between Ayr and PortPatrick to the Pacific Coast Highway in California and rate it 5*! The west coast of Scotland is a MUST SEE!
