Everything was meeting my expectations and beyond. A very warm and welcome hosts and great food.
Location
Generally very polite and nice citizens. The streets vere very clean and generally quiet and nice.

delicious breakfast, very nice and warm welcome, great area and surronding, lovely garden,
nice rooms with great comfort,
walking to town possible in only a few minutes
Location
ideal for visit-trips to inverness, dufftown, keith, huntly ( f. ex. dean-bakery ;-))

The owner, Mrs. Cartnell, was very kind and she prepared very good scottish breakfasts. Standard of room was good (my bed was much more comfortable than I had e.g. in the Hotel Hilton Airport Edinburgh). There was also lot of booklets about Elgin town and it's surroundings (including whiskey distilleries). Location of The Croft was excellent: near the main streets of Elgin town, but there was no noisy traffic. Only thing was that there was the smell of preparing food in our room in the morning (our room was above the kitchen).
Location
Visiting in Glen Moray distillery was very interesting, The Cathedral of Elgin was impressive. We visited also in Glen Grant and Abelour distilliers. Those distilliers and especially our guides, Gillian and Dennis, were great.
