Made very welcome on arrival. The room was modern and well appointed. Breakfast was first class.
Strongly recommend.
Location
We were attending a golden wedding anniversary rather than as tourists.

The room was clean and well furnished. Plenty of room for the three of us. The breakfast was fab, the service was great and the ardyne had a lovely warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Location
We had a great visit to Mont Stuart well worth it.

Far better than expected for the booked single en-suite room. I was upgraded to an excellent double room. Breakfast and service were perfect. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Weather was poor but out of the control of the hotel and indeed anybody else!
Location
Rothesay seems to be struggling but there is a mood to move onwards. I became aware that the owner of the Ardyne Hotel amongst others is actively involved in promoting the island. Despite poor weather I took away a positive view of the island and look forward to revisiting Bute in better climatic conditions.

Hospitality was great and landlady very friendly. We are pensioners and had 50 stairs to climb to room however, view was fantastic. There was nowhere to hang robe etc in bathroom. Otherwise all OK.
Location
Rothesay town centre itself was rather disappointing. No shops of any note, in fact. Food we had was disappointing apart from a nice jazz evening at Brechins Bistro where the food was fine.

Good size with superb view over the Bay, really clean, shower room facilities a little bit small, but adequate for one night stay. No shaver socket. Hospitality extremely friendly and willing to assist. The bedside lighting was dim making it difficult to read in bed which was comfortable. Breakfast very freshly cooked and good quality produce with sufficient variety.
Location
Being able to walk into town was nice (half an hour) and near the local bus stop and ferry was helpful. Rothesay is delightful, but lacking in variety of good restaurants. Museum, Castle and Mount Stuart all fascinatingly interesting as well as the local Victorian toilets near the ferry.
We liked the beautiful Victorian buildings with their wrought iron balustrades and balconies and the public garden areas were well kept and colourful.
