The room was clean and quite big although it could have been warmer. The bathroom was tiny but had all that was necessary. The host might have been friendlier though - the first thing she told me on arrival was that I haven't paid my bill yet.
Location
The location is very good - about 15min walk from Princess Street, in a quiet street.

It was good value for money because of the location. The room was adequate and the bathroom facilities were ok. The breakfast was good.

room was large with very comfortable beds and en-suite bathroom and shower. breakfasts were very good, you could have anything from bowl of cereal to a full scottish .owners were very nice and helpful,i would say this accomadation was exellent value for money.would recommend hotel .

hotel was in an exellent location,quiet street but a 5-10minute walk to playhouse theatre and princes street with many shops and attractions.

The room we had was nice and big. There were 3 beds, which made it a bit 'crowded'.
Could be cleaner, but overall OK.
Service was correct, but could be friendlier. Breakfast was good too.
The Terrace Hotel is a 15 minute walk to the center.
Location
Edinburgh is a great city to visit. Really lovely. We'ld certainly like to come back again.

We were madw welcome. The hotel was clean, well equippped & good value for money. The choice for breakfast was very good also. We would stay there again, now there.s a recommendation.

food good proportions and well cooked plenty to eat
room a good size,bed comfy.bathroom and shower very good.
the owner more than helpful with regards to monitoring the parking meters.

recommend the castle.
