The Caravan we stayed in was excellent, it was really clean, comfortable and in a great location. I would highly recommend this accommodation it was good value for money. The beds were comfortable and the caravan very spacious, the kitchen utensils and appliances were of good quality and spotless. The owners were friendly and welcoming and very helpful.

Location

The Island of Barra has some fantastic scenery, the beaches are outstanding with white golden sands and clear blue waters. Some of the beaches did not have easy access and you had to walk through a field to get to them, in most cases the gates were locked and you had to climb over a stile. There are many visitor attractions but they are not sign posted, I would recommend calling into the tourist information office in Castlebay when you arrive and buy one of the small booklets about the Island. There are very few places to park your car at the side of the road to go exploring so walking is the best option. There is a bus route around the Island so it was easy enough getting around. The cafe/restaurant on the main street in Castlebay is well worth a visit but you do need to book if you want to go in the evening, the food was really good and I can recommend the curry. The locals are friendly, helpful and I thought the Island was lovely.

Great value for money and everything you need in the caravan.

Location

Don't miss the sightseer flight to Benbecula from Barra Airport. Seal bay and beach at Allasdale is amazing too.

Everything was supplied from bedding to toilet roll !!! Come and go as you please,great base for touring.

The caravan is set facing the Atlantic Ocean,in a field away from everything else.A great base to tour Barra and Vatersay.A must is the airport,where else in the world can you watch a plane land on the beach !!!!The beaches are out of this world !!!
