room was lovely, but bathroom was very small and we couldn't figure out to make the shower work -- now we know to check that out before we strip down! hostess was very nice and helpful. breakfast was excellant

didn't find a lot to see in lanark but we got there late on sunday afternoon. one thing americans have difficulty remembering is that shops and attractions in other countries close very early -- most of the towns we visited rolled up the sidewalks at 5

Mrs Dickie has a comfortable welcoming house. Our room and ensuite was very comfortable and well equipped. In the room Mrs Dickie had provided the menus for various local restaurants and pubs in the area, a great help on arriving.
Location
We were enroute between Oban and Surrey but stayed the next day to visit New Lanark Mills, well worth it.

The accommodation was excellent and Mrs Dickie was most helpful we had to extend our stay at the last minute and she accommodated us with no fuss.
