Steading 4 has been a wonderful home from home for our winter mountaineering holiday to Scotland. It's such an inviting, and cosy snug to come back too after a hard days climbing up the local Munros.
Location
There's so much to discover locally. We came for the quick access to the Cairngorm and Monadhliath mountains, but the local facilities have proven lovely too. Blasta restaurant on the high street in Newtonmore is lovely.

Modern, clean, warm, high standard of furnishings and equipment and wi-fi an extremely useful surprise extra (much appreciated for obtaining the weather forecast!). Excellent value for money.
Location
Excellent base for walking in both Cairngorm and Monahliath mountains.

Very nice accommodation with everything we needed.
Location
Did lots of good things and lots we never had time to do. If you have children here are the best things we did, cycle routes - lots of places to go. Grass Sledging & Geocaching Treasure Hunt on Cairngorm were a big hit along with Landmark. Our best day was cycle round Loch Eilean finished by a coffee and cake at the Alpine Nurseries cake shop along the road - best cakes ever and a great viewing area of all the wildlife feeding area - really close up to red squirrels. We were fortuante to not need to do the rainy day activities such as swimming and soft play as our weather was great. Definately go back to the area again.
