The welcome was great and so was the breakfast-nice and hot and well cooked. It was a bit cramped and the extension plugs were awkward to use. There was no plug point anywhere near a mirror which made drying my hair difficult.
Location
It was in an ideal location for getting into the city and to our wedding reception.

A very lovely and well located guest house allowing easy access to Edinburgh's attractions. Christie has a very professional yet friendly manner, ensuring that guests have all the required information for getting the most out of a visit. Even ensuring that we had change for the bus and bus route information. Breakfast was a treat, cooked fresh and exactly as required. deserves 5 stars!

The room was spotless and well equipped, with a really comfy bed. The breakfast choice and quality was excellent. We received a warm welcome and excellent service from the owner - nothing was too much trouble. We would certainly stay here again if visiting Edinburgh.
Location
The Tattoo was great and we also enjoyed visits to Holyrood House, Edinburgh Castle and Britannia - though we did think entrance charges were a little expensive. Make sure you take a raincoat/umbrella - we only had 2 dry days during our holiday! Be very careful when booking shows for the "Fringe" - some are much better value than others (it's a good idea to visit the location of the show before you visit to make sure it has enough seating - we didn't appreciate having to stand in a crowded room for a long time after paying £24 for tickets. Other shows were much cheaper or free, but had plenty of seating)

We appreciate the friendliness of everyone, helpfulness about parking, taking buses etc. We appreciated very much our insuite accommodation.
Location
The Tattoo was fabulous, the street performers for the start of the festival were entertaining. Note: we needed to borrow a wheelchair to take my mother to the Tattoo, and were glad the Red Cross office in Dalkeith kindly lends them out (even to foreign visitors).

The rooms were very clean, well-decorated, though one was a bit small, and unfortunately there is no lounge. Breakfast was very good, and the hospitality was very friendly and helpful. Conveniently located. Would stay again.

We were satisfied with our stay at Sonas. Our rooms weere small, especially the bathroom. But the food was very good and the host was very friendly and accommodating. Overall an enjoyable stay.
Location
The location was very good for accessing the central tourist area by bus, but we found a lack of places within walking distance for pubs or restaurants that were open in the evening.
We loved the castle of course, but also took a train ride to Stirling and visited the old town and castle - also fantastic! We particularily loved the walk around old town Stirling.
