The room and bathroom were clean and of a decent size. The proprietor was friendly and helpful, and the full Scottish breakfast was wonderful. The only complaint is that there was no soap provided in the bathroom.

Location

While the location is a bit far from the city center, the train station was very close and easy to access.

A little on the "shabby" side. Our room was in the basement, next to the dining room and so we saw little of the rest of the house. One of the beds in our room was broken and so tilted to one side. Alaister said that it had been fixed once, but he would fix it again.

Location

Very, very easy to get to the city centre from here. A bus 100 yards away and the railway station just over 200. An extremely good location for getting into town. Superb and economical restaurant/diner 250 yards away. Caio's, huge menu, superb service and spotless.
