A very spacious property with a lovely view of Loch Creran, however the place is very tired and in need of an upgrade. When we walked in the door you could tell the place hadn't been used in a while as there was a strong musty/dusty smell which never left for the 3 days we were there. It also could get cold even with the storage heating on and there was condensation on most windows and we were there in April. The garden was overgrown, the lawn was tidy but you couldn't even walk down the path due to the overgrowth. The outside of the building needed some cosmetic work and the garage needed a tidy up before you could attempt to play table tennis. Yes 100 a night for a property of this size is excellent value but it just didn't meet the expectations set by the website and photos provided. However with a little bit of work to bring some life back into this property it would be a very good stay.

Overall the cottage is very well equipped and generally in a good state of repair. It is a generously sized cottage with large bright rooms. Some rooms had obviously been newly renovated. All were clean. They have tried hard to make it a family home from home and we had everything we needed at our disposal.

Location

Seafield seems like it is in the middle of nowhere however in re4ality it's just a 10-15 minute car ride to Oban and then onwards to the islands of Mull, Iona, Staffa etc. We copuld not fault the location, with the amazing views from the back garden. We were only there a week but found every day was packed with something exciting to do, from Sealife Centre, trips to Mull, Iona, Staffa, the Inverawe Smokehouse, Fort William, Oban itself...there's just a neverending list of places to visit.

the house was fantastic and very private with great views.

Location

the only thing i would complain about is that it could do with a sign on the main road to tell you where the house.if i had been going to the house at night i would never have found it.
