Friendly staff. Rooms were clean. Single room was a bit cramped but had a big bathroom. Double room was spacious and comfortable but bathroom was tiny and cramped. Water in showers not quite hot enough. Breakfast was a bit unappetising.

Excellent location for tourists sights, eating, drinking and shopping.

Excellent experience. The room was a bit old in terms of decor, linens, etc. but the staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast good, and the location perfect.

value for money. staff very pleasant and helpful. the shower in my room was very small and ended up using the shower on the top floor which was a fraction bigger, hospitality excellent.

I thought my single room package was excellent value for money. My room with ensuite was nicely decorated and very comfortable. The breakfast room was nicely decorated and the food served of a high standard. The staff were friendly.

The hotel was in a fantastic position within walking distant of most of the attractions with excellent pubs and restaurants nearby. I found Edinburgh a very accessible city ... I loved it!

The hotel offered good value for money and the hospitality and breakfast were great. The room itself was clean which is very important to us,but small problems like the very peculiar slope on the bathroom floor was a bit off putting.The small light in the bathroom did not work so i had to kneel on the bed to apply makeup,and the kettle had to be placed on a chair to boil as the cable would not reach the plug off the surface. It was a freindly atmosphere and a great base in a good location,just little tweaks would make it better.

The location was excellent - very central and near everything but still on a quiet street. The rooms were really lovely as well - very clean, lovely high ceilings, very spacious and nicely decorated. The staff were also very friendly. The only problem I could think of was that the breakfast was served from 8 until 9 in the morning only - 1 hour is a very short-time frame, especially at the weekend. However given that the accomodation was very reasonably priced, it wasn't a big deal to have to go out and get breakfast as there are loads of cafes nearby. Would definitely recommend this place to friends.

Within walking distance of all the city centre attractions. Lots of nice restaurants, cafes and pubs are beside the hotel.
