The hospitality and breakfast (lots of fruit and berries) were great. Somewhat noisy, you could e hear others living in the guesthouse. However, good value for money and just a short walk from the centre.

Location

Portree and Skyee was wonderful and had a lot to offer. Old man of Storr, Talisker destillery, and Donveagan as well as Armadale castle were absolutly worth visiting. In good weather the Cuillins are beautiful.

My husband and I, were very impressed with the standard of facilities. The room was delightful, light, spacious, clean and always well equiped with an assortment of drinks, and biscuits. Christine and Hugh (our hosts) were most hospitable, always very pleasant and keen to assist in any matter required. We found the choices for breakfast exceptional, we only have praise for this establishment.

Location

We toured the Isle of Skye over two days. We found many pleasant sights to see, mainly over the beautiful Lochs surrounding the area. There were many different types of restaurant in Portree. We would recommend the "Cafe" and the "Central Restaurant" The "Sea Breezes" Fish restaurant on the Harbour Was also very good. We would definately recommend the Lobster.

Friendly owner, good breakfast, clean, walking distance to the centre of village. small room, difficult shower.

Location

Isle of Skye is spectacular. Restaurant Sea Breezes (in the village) at the Harbour was great and has very friendly staff. Hotel restaurant Greshornish was also very nice. We had lunch there. (You have to have a car to get there).

The room was very comfortable. The hospitality was just as warm and welcoming. The guest house was also close to everything, very convenient. We also enjoyed our breakfasts!

Location

Portree is the main city on the Isle of Skye, and a good starting place to visit the other towns and villages on the island. We had the most fun driving around the island--basically made a big loop from Portree to the tip of the island and back to Portree. There was a cool little cafe in town where we would have a coffee and plan our hikes for the day, and then get some take-away sandwiches for our day's journey. The whole island was charming.

Mrs. MacFarlane was most welcoming; our room was well appointed and very clean with all possible amenities at hand. The decor was very homey and comfortable and even offered a small refrigerator for small lunch items. I was impressed with the location of plugs for hair dryer and/or curling iron near the mirror which is rare outside of the USA but most satisfactory. Breakfast was excellent with many choices available. I have stayed at Quiraing before and would not hesitate to stay there again anytime.

Location

Our purpose in visiting Skye was simply touring and enjoying the beautiful countryside which we were most happy to do. I was disappointed that the ceilidh which I had attended previously was not held on the nights we were there, but I intend to plan my next visit to be able to include that in our itinerary.
