Lovely country house. Large room with lots of windows overlooking the beautiful rural scenery which included a small private sitting area. Attention to detail with supply of hairdryer, shortbread to accompany tea/coffee, tourist info, tissues, etc. Pretty breakfast room where I enjoyed a very good continental breakfast (fruit, yoghurt, juice, cereal), eggs, tomato and toast (full cooked breakfast on offer). Warm host but not intrusive. Credit card facility available at no extra charge.
Location
We had a lovely horse ride through Blair Estate and surrounds. This was one of the absolute highlights of my visit to Scotland and in particular Blair Atholl. Also enjoyed dinner and drinks at the Atholl Arms (though no live music when we were there). Time was limited but we had a quick visit in Pitlochry and tour with tasting of the Edradour Distillery, which is very worthwhile. There are many things to enjoy in this area, especially outdoor/sporty activities, and I wish we'd had a week, not just a night!
