I stayed in a number of B and B's in the area over the course of a week in May 2008. Oatfield House was by far the most superior accommodation of the lot (and that's not to say that the others were sub-standard - they were also very good). The house itself is very grand and decorated very well. My bedroom was large with a high ceiling and had a lovely view of the garden. The reception I got on arrival from Lesley was very welcoming indeed. I had been on a cycling trip and on arrival was soaking wet. The cup of tea and chocolate biscuits hit the spot! 10 out of 10 from me.

Seafield Hotel is a great place to go in Campbelltown for food.

I had been on tour in Scotland for 5 weeks by the time I got to Oatfield House and had rarely received such a warm welcome. I was moved to a larger room with a shower so I could more easily wash my hair and given tea and a fire in the parlour on the first evening even though I was the only guest. The room was warm, clean and beautifully decorated. The WiFi meant I could work there and the breakfasts were the best on my entire trip - a geat fry up on day one, and proper porridge cooked in the slow oven of the Aga overnight on day 2. The house is beautiful as well and I had a nice walk to an iron age fort on a nearby hill. I thoroughly recommend Oatfield House.
