The room was of a good standard and nicely furnished. We received a very hospitable welcome and the food at breakfast was well presented, with a good varied choice - well above the norm.
Location
Fort Augustus is pretty, with the locks and lockside pubs providing an interesting focus. We went on to visit Loch Ness, Urquhart Castle and the Loch Ness Monster Centre. Both of the latter were worth the visit.

Very comfortable room, our only complaint would be that the very fine curtains (almost nets) let in bright light from a very early hour, so that sleep was disturbed.
However, the breakfast was extremely good, in that everything was freshly prepared and beautifully presented.
Location
To see the locks in the Caledonian Canal in action was a lovely experience.

Our stay at Nia Roo was very comfortable. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. They also had a cosy lounge room which had Scottish music playing and a small selection of drinks - a very nice touch. Breakfast was the BEST we had on the whole trip, great choices, absolutely lovely! All in all very good value for money. I would definitely recommmend Nia Roo.
Location
The B&B is situated a 2 min walk to town where there are a couple of nice pubs and a convenience store. Its a lovely relaxed place to visit.
