Excellent communication from Frances, property was well appointed and clean, excellent info on local area provided. Milk, shortbread and wine a wonderful touch.

Location

I was staying whilst running the West Highland Way Race, it couldn't have been a better venue.

The accommodation was excellent the rooms were clean tidy and bright and a good size. The only reason I did not mark it as outstanding is because as the area is geared towards walkers, bikers and in our case SSDT riders there are limited facilities for drying clothing. this year we were very fortunate with the weather and could dry clothes outside. A room where we can throw off dirty gear would be great instead of stripping off on the front step as not to dirty an immaculate house. A welcome pack consisting of Milk, biscuits and bottle of wine was greatly received. Thanks

The apartment was really lovely and felt very comfortable. It was very clean as well, but some items of kitchenware and crockery were not clean - this has caused me to give it an excellent rating rather than outstanding. It was well situated to access the town and countryside. The garden does not have much privacy, as it is on a busy road leading to Glen Nevis; however we still saw some deer feeding just beyond the garden fence. The DVD rental card was an excellent idea, but it would have been good to have a few games as well. We wished we had brought a radio with us.

Go to the tourist information and buy a book of local walks for £2.50 - they are very good and mostly accurate - the Fassfern walk is very pretty. The seafood cafe/restaurant on the Kinlochleven road is wonderful. If you want to take a picture of the 'Harry Potter' train then get to the Glenfinnin monument at about 10.45 am and stand at the end of the car park. However, for a better view, get there about 20 mins earlier, park just beyond the NT car park (over the bridge and on the righthand side - it is free here; walk down the track towards the viaduct.
