The hospitality was outstanding. We arrived, drenched and dripping from having walked the last section of the West Highland Way, to be met by the owner who told us she would hang up our coats, put our boots away to dry and would turn up the heat in our room. The room was spacious, and the bathroom was excellent. The beds were very comfortable. The location of the property is excellent, with an easy walk to High Street.

The room was very clean and comfortable, well appointed, and the window view exceptional. The en suite was nicely sized, clean with abundant linens and all the little accessories. Everyone at Myrtle was helpful and hospitable. The breakfast room was comfortably arranged as to not be cramped and the service was efficient and accommodating. The breakfast food was good and plentiful. The location was ideal for walking into town. On-site parking was a plus. The building and grounds were immaculate, and for early spring, borders and plantings were attractive.

Location

The Crannog Restaurant served great seafood. The cross-town walk along the loch from the guest house to the public path along the River Loch to Inverlochy Castle, and on to Neptune's Staircase in Banavie was very enjoyable.
