The Munro Guest House was outstanding value for money - the hospitality shown by the hostess was special and we very much enjoyed our two night stay. The Munro is ideally situated, close to restaurants and railway station.

my main reason visiting scotland was ancestry research but had a bad time trying to find the archives in sterling after speaking to people in the library they said they had no archives in sterling it turned out that there is an archives in sterling but by that time it was to late to access them as they were only open monday tuesday wednesday but i did not find this out till friday.the only thing that spoiled my visit to sterling was the boy racers very late at night using the citys roads as a rally track. but apart from that it was a good stay. .

Hospitality very good - a friendly welcome. Room quite basic and bed not very comfortable. Breakfast good, but no Scottish porridge on offer!

Location

Super location. Able to walk to Sritling Castle where we spent the morining and could have spent much longer but had to leave.

Very welcoming. Super room close to town centre. Adequate parking (but only free at night)Warm and very comfortable.

Location

Bit difficult really as we travelled specifically to see our son at university. We did walk around the old graveyard though, and thought the Thistle centre superb. I particularly like the compactness of Stirling - everything you could possibly want within such a small area. Lovely place.

Being the first Hotel of our Scotland holidays, we enjoyed our room, which was clean and big enough for our family (2 adults, 1 child 11y). The view from our window on the town and the old church was fantastic. Though arriving late and our hosts were about to leave for dinner, they gave as a very warm and friendly welcome. Breakfast was excellent and we enjoyed our stop very much.

Location

The Stirling castle is a must see, as well as the Argyll lodge, where a very entertaining guided tour gave us a lot of insight into the history of the place.
