Accommodation was very good. Room comfortable and warm.
Tea and coffee facilities in room good.
Staff very friendly and extremely considerate and helpful.
Could have done with extra bedside lamp and perhaps some shampoo in bathroom.
Main hotel - very comfortable bar area- breakfast room spacious and breakfast menu excellent.
Personally I could have done without the plasma screens-but at least the sound was low.
Location
My sightseeing was limited to two days.
Take a train to Glasgow, very impressive station-and visit Kelvingrove Museum - one could spend weeks in there- extremely interesting- plus an excellent restaurant. Also a visit to Burns cottage and
visitor centre is a must.
Everyone I met, from taxidrivers, waiting personnel, bar staff etc were so extremely kind and genuinely pleased to see visitors. It is true that Scottish Hospitality is at the top of the tree.

Small room for which a premium was charged because my overnight stay, to catch an early morning flight from Prestwick Airport, coincided with the Gold Cup racing weekend at Ayr.
