Good value for money. Guest house is very clean and it was great to arrive in the evening after a long day's walk to the well heated house. Did not realise breakfast was served up until 8.30 am and had slept in but proprietor was still willing to provide a good service at breakfast time. Scenery from the lounge/breakfast room was fantastic with views over the Loch.

A very clean, comfortable room. Nothing was too much trouble for our landlady, a friendly and approachable person at all times, even accomodating our very early morning breakfast!

The rooms were excellent and Mrs. Cook was most helpful in finding us places to eat and things to see. She had no problem getting up early so that we could have breakfast before we left before the regular breakfast time.
Location
Mrs. Cook had a list of tourist attractions and how to get to them printed for us to use. She suggested routes to get to them.

good value for money, nice clean and tidy property, with excellent views across the loch.
The landlady was very welcoming and knowledgable about the area, and even beyond. Made to feel very welcome.
breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice, and cooked fresh. The rooms where fine, with fresh linen and tea/coffee making facility. overall an excellent experiance.
shared bathrooms was the only weak point, But would consider staying there again.
Location
the location was OK, but it took 30 mins to walk into town, I had read somewhere that it was approx 15 mins, The walk was flat and enjoyable, as it was loch side.
we didn't spend to much time actually in Fort William, as it was abase for a road trip around the west coast and isle of skye, but made the trips easy to get started, through some spectacular scenery.
however i saw enough to suggest a further visit to explore Fort William would be in order

I spent 4 nights at the Melantee B & B and as a single person it was excellent value for money with
no huge supplement added on!!It was all very cosy and clean. The breakfasts were great.Mrs Cook, the hostess was wonderful and very knowledgeable of the area.I would definitely stay there again and
recomend it to my friends.
Location
The walk from the Melantee into Fort William was very pleasant.Fort William is a wonderful place
to stay-so many places to visit and the scenery is so beautiful.I visited Fort William about 13
years ago and this time I was impressed with the pedestrianised town centre and vastly improved
shops and cafes.Everyone was very friendly.
