Good place to stay just one wee thing a wee bit hard to see the house sign when you drive down the road for the first time .

The room was not ensuite and there was no TV but the price (£30 single) reflected this.

My room which was classed as single actually had a double bed and wanted for nothing. Very hospitable and breakfast more than adequate. The price charged was very reasonable, no doubt due to lack of en-suite facilities but that did not cause me any inconvenience. I'd certainly be happy to stay there again.

The purpose of my visit was to take video of the Jacobite trains. Having visited on previous occasions I thought I was prepared for the vagaries of West Highland weather- but this time it was atrocious so on the Saturday I travelled on the train and was well pleased. During lulls in photography the Lochailort Inn was a pleasant refuge. I fed each evening in Wetherspoon's whose good value must (or should) be a source of worry to other hostelries. Having used the Crofter in pre-Wetherspoon years I went there on the Friday but was disappointed to be told that their kitchen closed at 8pm. On a previous visit it had closed even earlier due to some big football match on TV!

Great hospitality, place is a little outdated but no offense, showers and bath are OK. Breakfast is great, we got a big lunch to takeaway for the early leaving, perfect!

Comfortable

Glenfinnan hotel. Join the ramblers...a very friendly group, informative and welcoming. Some tourists need to respect the places they visit, and saw a lot of impatience and wrecklessness in people visiting. Hard for the Scottish hosts to deal with. But SNT has done a sterling job with the countryside and promoting the beauty of the land
