Our room, as well as the two shared bathrooms, at the Melantee was immaculately clean. Beds were comfortable, there was tea/coffee/cookies available and it was replenished the next day as well. The shared bathrooms were cleaned daily and were very modern. Flora is very accommodating and went out of her way to do us a huge favour while we were there. She is very respectful of the privacy of the guests, which we appreciated. There is a book with the menus for all the local restaurants available to guests. There is a guest lounge for guests to gather in the evenings, and the breakfasts were plentiful and hearty. Location is fabulous, right on the shores of Loch Linnie and the two double rooms have an amazing view. Parking is right on the property. Really, this B and B has it all!Excellent value for the price.

Location

Fort William is about 5 mins drive away. The main street is pedestrian-only and there are lots of shops and restaurants to explore. Fort William begins the Great Glen drive which extends up to Inverness. It only takes about 2 hrs to drive it all. Finally, south of Fort William, about 12 km away, is Glencoe..reknowned for its beauty.

Good place to stay just one wee thing a wee bit hard to see the house sign when you drive down the road for the first time .

The room was not ensuite and there was no TV but the price (£30 single) reflected this.
