nicely refurbished room...the staff and ownership treated me like a long lost family member...they included me in conversations and a birthday celebration...the food was abundant...nutritious and diverse...and the value for the money was appropriate...not too much not too little...overall a wonderful stay one i will remember for years to come...i would recommend martins to anyone who enquires...
Location
martins is well located to the down town and bus service to other parts of the area...i found it to be a nice walk from the b and b to the heart of the royal mile...very enjoyable...i particularly like visiting all of the sites along and near the royal mile it gave me a real sense of scottish hospitality and friendliness...the museums were informational (national) and beautiful...i enjoyed every moment of my visit...

It was a pleasure to stay at Martin's. Denise and the rest of the staff were amazingly welcoming, helpful and hospitable. The rooms were lovely, very comfortable. Everything was very clean and the included breakfast was delicious, although I was sorry not to have the opportunity to try the full Scottish breakfast. I would definitely recommend this guesthouse.
Location
Edinburgh was probably my favourite place on my trip around Europe. I found it very easy to get around and the locals were very friendly and helpful. Highlights included the Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle, the Scott Memorial and the National Gallery.

I selected the guest house by internet because of the situations, the description of the house and the remarks of others clients.

Warm welcome by the hosts who were always most helpful. Room warm and comfortable, although wish we had been able to have a larger en suite room. Breakfasts had excellent choice of menu - and we could have asked for porridge! Excellent situation for local bus, or easy walk into Princes Street.
Location
Easy access by bus to Royal Yacht Britannia which was worth a visit, also Dynamic Earth - both attractions so clean with excellent smiling staff. Walked to the Royal Mile, St.Giles Cathedral and the Castle. Short walk in evening to choice of restaurants.
Visit was also to meet up with student at University, and even that was easy to find on the bus.
