Freindly staff, good food and lovely setting.
Bathroom facilities, although brand new had design faults with the shower and there is the need for hand grips to acesss fixed shower over the bath

Our room (8) was clean and cosy though disappointing lack of view - our window overlooked outhouses at the back and kitchen noises could be heard when the window was open.
The bathroom had a damp smell despite extractor fan which operated only when the light was switched on.
I felt the bed and breakfast rate of £40 per person was expensive, but appreciate it is in line with other hotels on the island.
The hospitality was excellent - this family run hotel made a pleasant change from the large impersonal chain hotels.
We would have apprecited daily newspapers in the lounge, as the nearest shop was some distance away by car.
The food in this hotel was excellent, as was the service. We had planned to eat out at different restaurants on the island , but enjoyed the food so much that we ended up eating in the hotel on the 3 evenings of our stay, and also took friends there for lunch.
Location
Our first impression of the hotel's rather isolated location was disappointment, but we soon realised its postion added to its charm and we came to view it as a positive feature.
