Wonderful location - easy to walk to everything that we wanted to see in Edinburgh - and nice apartment with friendly and helpful owners.
Location
Great food that was very close, not far away from public transportation, and we could see a wonderful view of Edinburgh Castle out the front door!

5 Lady Wynd, apartment 3, was a delight to discover. It was incredibly well appointed, and offered every comfort and amenity for an extended stay. I would recommend this apartment to anyone, and I only wish all my friends were planning trips to Scotland so I could recommend to them this wonderful accommodation.
Location
5 Lady Wynd is a delightful location, just beneath the castle, just off of Grassmarket, and within easy walking distance to everything. The longest walk -- to Arthur's Seat -- was a splendid 40-minute walk to a spectacular hike to experience the wilderness side of Edinburgh. The most delicious walk was to Mother India's Cafe -- indian food served tapas style that was beyond yummy.

The apartment was superbly equipped and so close to all the main places of interest that walking was no problem at all. Our stay was comfortable and the secured entry assured that you felt safe at all times. Small touches such as putting milk and drinks and bisciuts made sure that visitors were made to feel welcome immediately. The luxury of a jacuzzi bath after a day of sightseeing cannot be overstated.
Location
The apartment is within a five minute walk of the Royal Mile and the Museums. A similar distance away is the entrance to Princes Street Gardens and from thence, the retail heaven that is Princes Street itself. We took in the serenity of St Giles Cathedral and listened to the most moving recital by a truly gifted young violinist which made the bustle of the Royal Mile seem a world away.

it was very nicely decorated and had all the facilities neccesary.bathroom was lovely, and clean.

the location was excellent and within walking distance to city centre.went to an italian restaurant in grassmarket which was 2 minutes away called Made in Italy and would thoroughly recommend their pizzas.

A lovely, ideally located self-catering apartment, the perfect base for a weekend exploring Edinburgh. Mrs Ciancia was very contactable and efficient. It would have been great to know a little more information in advance like what would be provided (toilet roll but not milk). Overall a great place to stay, I'll be back!
Location
Our highlights were climbing up to Arthur's seat (beautiful views), taking the green bus tour (amazing guide who was totally comfortable adapting his tour to suit the audience!) and watching great live bands playing in the pubs at the top of grassmarket. Next time I'll give the american pizza place on grassmarket a miss though :s

Brilliant location, beautifully decorated flat, secure key-leaving system, lovely bathroom. Only small comment would be that given most people probably don't stay longer than a week, providing dishwasher tablets and/or washing up liquid would be a nice touch. Other than that, we had a lovely stay, at a good price, and the owners were nice and easy to deal with.
