lizzie and gary were the gracious of hosts, v warm, friendly, and accomodating. the rooms were clean and welcoming to foreigners. wireless worked well and lots of wall sockets. breakfast was plentiful and the dining hall was wonderfully decored with soft music in the morning. all in all, we had a fabulous time at the Kingsway and would definitely go back there...

we took a bus tour of edb and visited the usual famous attractions. people were friendly wherever we went. its obvious the scots are proud of their heritage, and rightfully so as well

An excellent location in Endinburgh I can highly recommend. The rooms are clean, the owner is very helpful and friendly and the breakfast is great. The house is well located in a quite road but close to a bus stop only 6 stops away from the Royal Mile. If I go back to Edinburgh I will stay there again.

Both of the owners were really great in helping me decide what to do while there. The food was really good and made fresh. The room I got was no more than most other places I looked at and it was very nice and large. The owners where always available for questions.
Location
It is in a great location. The house itself is in a fairly residential area with lots of little shops, pubs and restaurants. The owners when I arrived provided a small map of the local area with places listed that anyone might need, a petrol station, the grocery store and local pubs and restaurants they enjoy (although if you just walk around you will find many more). It is only a 20 minute walk to the Royal mile and a few minutes more to Princes street. They are also very close to the bus stop and that is only a 5 minute ride or so. The owners also were very helpful in finding tours to take and the like.

The rooms were very clean & tidy. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, it definitely set us up for the day. There was plenty of information regarding the Guest House, and the surrounding area (restaurants, bus service, attractions). Lizzie and Gary were very friendly and attentive, helping to book local restaurants & taxis. They both helped to make our visit to Edinburgh an enjoyable and memorable one.
Location
Kingsway Guest House is in a good location, approx 1 mile from the Royal Mile, with a good bus service, with plenty of buses, passing the end of the road. There are also some very good Restaurants within a 5 to 10 minute walk. We decided to eat locally, than trying to find a restaurant near the Royal Mile, which was very busy and popular most of the time. We visited Edinburgh mainly to see the Tattoo, but had time to tour round Holyrood House, St Giles Cathedral and Edinburgh Castle, which we found were excellent.
