Visitor Reviews of King Robert Hotel - Overall Rating 3.8

Special mention to Robbie the barman, who was so kind and friendly even though he had a bad throat, he made us feel very welcome. The King Robert was definitely the best hotel we stayed in.

Location

We only stayed overnight on our way to John O'Groats as I was cycling, so did not have a chance to visit anything except the impressive statue of Robert the Bruce and the lovely grounds around the hotel.

My friends and I were very pleased with the King Robert Hotel. We were allocated two rooms next to each other. (A good thing when women are travelling together.) The receptionist gave us a warm welcome which is an asset to any hotel. The rooms were pleasant and included tea/coffee facilities. Booked in for Bed & Breakfast, we had no complaints about the food. So much so, that we ordered (and enjoyed) our evening meal on the Friday evening and lunch on the Saturday. The King Robert Hotel is also close to a bus stop ....... an added bonus for non-drivers.

Despite being a wee bit away from central Stirling, this hotel is absolutely great! The staff are utterly fantastic and professional, and the rooms are lovely and clean. Great service. Guid auld fashioned Scottish breakfasts as well. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Stirling to stay here.

Location

Benefits from being directly next to the Bannockburn Visitors Centre and is only a wee taxi ride from the centre of things. Very helpful staff if you need help getting anywhere.

everything was satisfactory in the room. It lacked a minibar. The staff were uniformly welcoming and friendly. It was value for moony and I would return

Location

It was a business visit and on a monday night in December Stirling was not a throbbing hive of welcoming restaurants.

Nice room, with good sized bathroom. Great breakfast and good bar facilities. Ample parking and easy to find.

Location

While not in the main town of Stirling, was in a fairly close location. Also very handy for checking out the Bannockburn Heritage Centre next door.
