Excellent service all round, with special attention to guests by the hostess, Margaret.
Location
Visited the seven single malt distilleries, and did the tour at Laphroig which proved to be outstanding. Enjoyed the scenic drives on some of the 'great wee roads'. Islay exceeded our expectations: very beautiful and scenic, 'away from the madding crowds'.

On the isle of Islay, nothing is very far from Kilmeny. The ideal place to visit the isle.

From the moment we arrived we were treated exceptionally well. There was a welcome tea on arrival with homemade drop scones and chocolate cake. The standard of the bedroom was superb, no expense spared or detail missed. The breakfast was amazing and beyond all our expectations. We would thoroughly recommend Kilmeny, we didn't want to leave!

Almost needs another category , this was so incredible - like a 5* hotel combined with an Egon Ronay restaurant - more expensive than others but worth every penny - arguably the ultimate accommodation experience - though we were fortunate to have arrived for one of her cooking days
( Margaret provides meals only on selected days ) .
Decor from inside a magazine , immaculate , malt whisky decanter in room , food exquisite , much of it self prepared from local produce and all in an excellent environment - it really was an
experience .
Location
Bowmore Church fascinating , walks around Mull of Oa , Rhinns etc .
