I loved the situation - close to the esplanade and the sea - and the sea views from my window. Hospitality was second to none: Anne and Phil were friendly, and their local knowledge(bus routes, fares, taxi services, location of Churches, restaurants, etc) was very helpful. Breakfast fruit, juices, etc were always fresh and inviting, and cooked food was delicious. My room and its facilities were very pleasant and well-presented.
Location
As mentioned above, the situation on the Firth of Forth was ideal for me as I spent each day in the city exploring the historic attractions. The bus stops were close by, so daily transport to and from the city was very good. When I had to travel with luggage to the railway station, the taxi service was excellent and not too expensive.

Standard of the room was great overlooking the sea.
The Wind chimes during the night kept me awake. Otherwise, overall a pleasant stay and very convenient

face a la mer et d'un calme parfait,nous avons apprecie la serenite de cet endroit,ainsi que la chambre cosy et bien installee avec des sanitaires impeccables.
petit dejeuner extra et hotesse agreable.
Location
le Joppa Turrets est placé a 5mn d'un arret de bus qui vous emmene a Edimbourg rapidement,
il est facile de garer sa voiture dans la rue.
pour arriver a la location il est conseillé d'avoir un GPS

The complete package is beyond outstanding. I would have liked to stay at Joppa Turrets for much longer and hope to revisit asap.

Edinburgh, what more can I say? It is a romantic city - an explorers paradise. We walked and looked and then did it all over again. Take the tourist bus to begin with.

Friendly proprietors, beautiful view of the Firth of Forth, comfortable bed, very clean and neat, great breakfast.
