Comfortable room, hosts were very willing and helpful.Excellent breakfast.
Location
Ideal for short term stay pending a visit to the Orkneys and very handy for the ferryport.
Our host suggested visiting Duncansby Head for bird watching.Excellent idea as we saw 12 puffins!

We enjoyed our stay and found the accomodation very clean and comfortable. The owners were friendly and helpful, and the food was sufficient and tasty.
Location
It was very close to the Gills Bay Ferry to the Orkneys. Our early morning departure was much more relaxed because of this.

The hosts made this stay extra special. The accommodation was clean, food was good and the hosts were very helpful without being intrusive, very keen on talking us about local history, which we were very interested in.
Location
The b and b is near the orkneys which we visited from there, and we also had a special interest in that northerenmost coast of Scotland. The area is absolutely outstanding and the wildlife - particularly the birds - is stunning, as was the sea, coast, cliffs, vegetation, etc. We ALSO LOVED the Scottish RSPCA centre near Thurso, called in to make a donation, and were impressed with the re-homing policy and care for the animals they had rescued.

We were offered a family room, not very large but with all comfort and clean. The hospitality was very warm and breakast excellent.
Location
The B&B is isolated and you need the car to reach a place to have dinner, but traffic is not an issue over there and the place is wild and beautiful.

The owner couple were super friendly, room was modern and had all the right facilities, location was spot on.
Location
There isn't much in John O Groats appart from the two things you went there to visit in the first place. The famous sign and the coastal walk to the stacks. A beautifull spot to spend the day. Your snookered if you want a deacent meal, but that's the highlands for you. Love it and will be back again and again.
