The house was lovely and the breakfast was very nice too. The owner was very friendly and thoughtful towards us. The biggest issue that I had was that there was not a kettle in the room and if we wanted a cup of tea we had to use the lounge and ask for the cups to be brought to us. The house was very nice and the bathroom facilities were very clean. The breakfast room was really nice too and it was really nice to be served proper foods with no pre packed butters or marmalades.

Location

There was some leaflets in the house about local attractions. I was booked into the local craft fair at New Lanark which is only a 5 minute drive from Jerviswood which made it a really enjoyable stay for my family.

A charming room in an historic farmhouse. Spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed. Friendly welcome and excellent advice about where to go for a good dinner just minutes away. Nice breakfast. Quiet location in the country. Good value.

Location

Very close to New Lanark (World heritage Site and well worth visiting, especially if you are interested in social history, the Industrial Revolution etc. Lanark itself is a pretty village located between Glasgow and Edinburgh.
