A quiet, well-presented and managed B&B a few miles' drive north of Oban . Our hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. Thanks to overbooking caused by the UK Airspace embargo, we were offered either a rather small double room,or a better standard, spacious two-bedroom self-catering chalet, very well fitted and equipped for 4, at no extra cost, which we readily accepted. A full, high standard Scottish breakfast was provided, and we enjoyed two equally good, reasonably-priced evening meals taken at the owners' restaurant very conveniently situated on the premises.
Location
Located in open countryside with a nearby, accessible beach.

The house is very clean and well equipped, the only thing missing in the kitchen was a coffee perculator. We will be back. The double bedroom is small and we had a little chaffinch waking us every morning at 6.30am!!!!
Maybe a piece of netting on the window?
Location
Sea Life expensive but the children loved it, and also the nature walk.Cruachan Dam is well worth a visit and the visitor centre is excellant.

The standard of occomadation was excellent, the food was great and the hospitality and welcome of June and William was outstanding. They also provided some local information on the places to visit.
Location
Whilst the weather was wet and not too warm we were still able to enjoy the facilities in Oban, Fort William and Inveraray Castle

The location, hospitality and food were excellent. The double room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The single room had a bed that could have been used as a double which made the room a bit cramped. However the welcome from the hosts was warm and they were very supportive. A bonus was the excellent and reasonably-priced restaurant which was on site. I would recommend Hawthorn as a lovely place to unwind.
Location
In front of the house there is a paddock full of Highland cattle. The beach is close---within easy walking distance. Oban is 6 miles south and from there one can take the ferry to Mull, Iona or Staffa, We went to Staffa and this was an unforgettable experience----quite breath-taking.
