Location

Nice walk to the top of tinto hill and a lovely afternoon in Biggar. Everyone was very friendly

Friendly staff, comfortable room (quiet even though above the pub), good breakfasts, and excellent dinner menu in the pub/restaurant. The guest room could use brighter lighting.

Location

We used this as a base for exploring Peebles, New Lanark, and Abbottsford near Melrose. The countryside was beautiful, so we didn't mind driving a few miles every day to our destination.

We had a lovely stay at the Gordon Arms Hotel. Rooms were of a good size and very clean, bathrooms were clean and the shower was big and roomy no crashing of elbows on the side. The only downside of the shower was the controls for the hot water were not easy to use. The hospitality of the staff was very good they were very friendly and the breakfast was enough to last until dinner time. The menu for the evening was comprehensive and the food was good and plentifull.

Location

The scenery was quite spectacular and the village of West Linton was charming. There is a direct bus route into Edinburgh which was a bonus. Its stops right outside the hotel. We toured around and just appreciated the scenery, went into Edinburgh and had an enjoyable day there shopping.
