The proprietors were extremely helpful, friendly and attentive. Overall there was a “homely” feel and the bedroom was excellent. Décor was nice and car parking very convenient. The breakfast was really good including excellent black pudding! The guest house itself is very conveniently placed for shops, restaurants and pubs but is not troubled by noise or passers by.

First class accommodation. We were given a warm welcome by Louise on our arrival and were shown to a large bright and airy room at the front of the house with a fine view over the town. Bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent with Donald proving to be an excellent host. We would definitely stay at Glenroy again.

Location

One of the reasons for going to Oban was to have dinner at Coast Restaurant in George Street. We were not disappointed. Our meal was terrific, and the service was memorable. Altogether a very successful trip with a superb dinner complementing the warm west highland hospitality experienced at Glenroy Guest House

Room was ok. Not outstanding. Breakfast was good, but let down by restricive time - between 8 and 9 o'clock on a Sunday morning when people are on holiday is just too inflexible.

Location

Oban is quite pleasant when the rain stops. Trying to do a bit of touring on Mull on a Sunday on public transport is quite difficult - impossible to get to Iona and back to Oban. Those earning a living from tourism in Scotland really must get their act together and try to accommodate tourists more.

We had a very comfortable stay at Glenroy House. I was travelling with my parents and we were given a great double room and also a cosy single room, both with ensuites. Breakfast was great and the hosts very friendly. There is a steep walk up if you go into town, however it is only a short distance. They also have a gorgeous dog called Whiskey Mac!
