Comfortable room~ Friendly welcome~ Log fire~ Helpful and friendly staff~ Excellent food Quiet location

Location

Our choice of location was dictated by the fact that we wished to visit Balmoral, in the event we could not have chosen better. A short walk round Ballater, in the sun(!) revealed it to be a friendly town with some attractive shops, sadly the church was not open so we were not able to visit it.

hte room was very comfortable very clean and warm, the hospitality was excellent very very nice people who couldn,t do enough for you and the food was lovely. in all it was a lovely weekend and we will certainly be back

Location

although the weather was not great Ally had a good days fishing on the Dee which was the reason we were going It was arranged by the lady in the hotel who couldn'd do enough for you , she also told us of the places to visit.

Hospitality was very good indeed; all staff were extremely courteous and helpful. The only meals we had were breakfasts (as we met family members in self-catering during the day) which were very good. The atmosphere was very peaceful, calm and relaxing.Use of laundrette appreciated. Perhaps for our first visit we would have preferred to have had our room within the hotel rather than the Pine Terrace?

Location

We already know the Ballater area fairly well; as new grand-parents we were looking for facilities within the town for toddlers, such as wet-weather play, but were rather disappointed. Enjoyed our day at Balmoral Castle a lot more than we thought we would!!
