Visitor Reviews of Glencloy Farmhouse - Overall Rating 3.5

Rooms were comfortable and 'mine host' worked hard to provide a service. The access road would not have been good if we were on foot or cycling, especially at night. Only minor quibble is that all rooms were booke as en-suite, and one wasn't, but it wasn't a problem because we were the only residents. Also, no payment was sought for one night for one room not occupied due to missing a ferry, which was appreciated.
Location
We know Arran fairly well already. Unfortunately, we picked the worst weather of the year to visit this time around. The staff at the distillery were very welcoming to a trio of bedraggled and windswept cyclists!

We found staff very friendly, breakfast was excellent with a wide variety(we were spoiled for choice)
Standard of rooms was very good, ours was not en-suite but the large bathroom was just down the hall and very nice.
We found this B&B good value for money. What I would say is there was a walk of about 20mins to the town from the farmhouse and if returning late at night this path is not lit.
Location
We have always loved visiting Arran it is such a beautiful island with lovely scenery.
Brodick Castle is always worth a visit.Auchrannie is lovely for a meal and has three nice eateries with something for everyone.Sightseeing around the island by bus is a good way of seeing the island.

Good room - tea/coffee making, excellent bath and showers, superb breakfasts - very relaxed atmosphere overall. I would have rated it outstanding but I always like to leave room for improvement! Altogether an excellent B&B.

I was on a walking holiday with my two daughters, so the scenery was of great importance, and was lovely. Also visited the distillery which I enjoyed very much. The only slight drawback - and it was slight - is that there was little choice for evening meal venue. However the food was good, basic but adequate.

Warmly welcome by a very nice and attentioned B&B keeper. Clean. A warm and cosy atmosphere and last but not least an exceptional breakfast.
Thank you Neil
