* Our room was comfortable but abit dated and there were personal effects belonging to our host in the room. We thought it was expensive compared to other B&B's we stayed at in Scotland, especially as we had shared ensuite facilities and continental breakfast only.
* Our host was absent both mornings we were there. The breakfast was continental only and 'help yourself'.
* Glenavon is within easy walking distance to the town centre. No need to take your car into the town centre as it would take you as long to find a park as it would to walk. Great access to the Ferries also.
* I only saw our host the day we arrived - he was friendly and helpful.
Location
We spent 2 nights in Oban but could have stayed longer. We visited Duart Castle on Mull - a lovely locality with fantastic views and the Castle is a very interesting/informative place to visit. Good value for money for only 5Pound entry fee.Visit the Ferry Booking Office for what's available.
We walked up the hill to McCaig's Tower - great views and well worth doing (great excercise).
The Oban Tourist Information Office is great - well stocked with information, gift ideas and very helpful and friendly people.
Oban is a place where you could stay a week to just relax and enjoy the township, or use as a base to visit the Isles and the surrounding location. I really liked Oban and would go back again.
