The room was very clean but quite small as was the ensuite. There was little space to hang articles of clothing. Thw hostess was very hospitable and helpful, going out of her way to secure tickets for the train trip that we were unable to purchase over the internet. Breakfasts were of a very high standard.

Our rooms were large, well appointed and immaculate. The friendly greeting on arrival and breakfast were first class. The whole family enjoyed our stay.

We had a boat trip on the loch, quad biked in Laggan estate and took the Gondola up Nevis range. Loads to do and it only rained when we left to go home...!

Hospitality, choice of foods at breakfast, cleanliness all excellent.

Visited Mallaig on the Steam Train which was a lovely day out. Took the bus to Fort Augustus and had a nice day. Felt that the Tourist Board could have been a bit more helpful in providing details of the local bus services and also advising us that it would be a good idea to book our return journey on the bus - the bus driver did this and we had to rush to make a booking at the last minute.

As indicated the standard of room was excellent. As for monetary value, Glenaladale compared favourably with oher establishments used during our tour. The hospitality shown to us was without doubt first class, as were the facilities. We did appreciate the effort made on our behalf regarding breakfast as both my wife and I are vegetarian.

Location

Having visited Fort William many times, our main interest like many others visiting the area, is the freedom of walking through an area of absolute scenic beauty. Unfortunately this time the weather did not favour this activity.
