fantastico Bed and Breakfast, la stanza era meravigliosa e spaziosa, il centro raggiungibile a piedi e la colazione buona. Parcheggio per l'auto interno.

correct level of comfort; no cooked breakfast, only a tray and a fridge in the room.

various castles to visit: in Stirling I was surprised to discover that we couldn't visit the Royal Apartments although the ticket price was unchanged!!!

The room was gorgeous and the hospitality of the owners wonderful! The value for money was excellent. It was particularly special to meet June Carey, artist, and her husband, owners of Geortian House. They are very low key and we were pleased to find out that June is a well known Scottish artist who trained at the Glasgow School of Art. Her art work is in the rooms of Georgian House. A portrait of her husband hangs in the vestibule of the home. Lovely! Couldn't have been happier with the accommodations.
Location
The walk to Wallace Monument was well worth it if you are fit. Accessibility to the train station, trains to Glasgow and Edinburgh was iportant to us. Walking around Stirling was a treat and wonderful restaurants are accessible without reservations. Love that it is light until late at night!

When we booked we could only be offered a twin room instead of a double. Halfway through our stay, a double room came up and we were offered to move. I am glad we did as it was a better room with views of the castle. The proprietor told us that everyone wanted that room when they came to stay.
It was like the honeymoon suite, we felt proper royal.

Stirling castle, the Wallace Monument. Stirling bridge, Campuskenneth Abbey, Blair Drummond Safari Park. Linlithgow Palace. Great restaurants like Pappa Joes, Filling Station and The City Walls. Great Chinese restaurant the Golden Crown

Hospitality was wonderful, very friendly and helpful; good advice on places that were worth visiting, eating establishments etc.
Off-street parking was a real asset, being in the center of the city.
Location
The Tourist Info center might have been having a bad day, as they did give us the impression we were imposing on their time. The Old Town was interesting and the piper (Richard MacDonald) was very friendly and added to the atmosphere of the town and castle.
