Inn keeper excellent. Breakfast excellent. Room as booked fine but noisey with window open. Easy upgrade to great room.
Location
Convenient, within easy walking distance. Across the street from bus stop.

We visited Arthur's Seat and Edinburgh Castle which was very beautiful.

My partner&i spent the hogmanay at fraoch house. And what a lovely warm welcome from the owner Gareth. After staying at the Raddison blu for7nights it was nice to find ample parking at fr.ont of hotel. as we had to pay £90 atRaddison. With a great breakfast to set u up for the day and help from gareth on the tourist attractions would definatley come back again

the fraoch house was at a nice location about half hr walk from the center we were pleasently supprised how near we were that we didnt feel the need to catch the bus. After staying on the royal mile at raddison blu the area of Leath walk had plenty of bars and restraunts to make it a great stay

Felt the value for money was very good.Hospitality couldn't have been better. Gareth was very helpful with information re Edinburgh from sites to venues for dinner and even traffic. His welcoming friendliness made one feel at home immediately. The facilities at Fraoch were very good as well. Food delicious, rooms clean and well maintained.

Location of Fraoch House was perfect for our purposes. Most attractions were within walking distance for us and certainly the bus was right at the door if you wished not to walk.

As soon as I walked through the front door, the warmth of hospitality was evident. I had traveled for most of the day by train and when I arrived mid afternoon, Gareth met me and made me right at home with a perked coffee - just what was needed! After being taken to my room he sat down with me, gave me a map of Edinburgh and pointed out various places of interest. My room and the dining room were very pleasant to be in. The breakfasts (great choice of menu) and the service was excellent each morning. I stayed for 5 nights and the standard of service and friendliness of all the staff was exceptional.
Location
Fraoch House is ideally situated what ever mode of transport one uses. The bus comes right outside the front door. If one is keen on walking (as I am), this place is situated just 15 minutes from the centre of the city. There are so many places to visit and I covered a number of these during my stay. I enjoyed my time at Fraoch House and my stay in Edinburgh I so much that I am returning again in six weeks time.
