We received a warm welcome and shown to a large room on the ground floor with a beautiful view from the window. We were given typed detailed instructions of how get the best from Skye, including a couple of hidden gems, which were delightful. There's lots of books and magazines to borrow to give you a few more ideas, eg trips out to explore the smaller surrounding islands.
It felt more like staying with a relative than a B&B business - no crisp white sheets and towels here, but colourful bedding etc that toned in well with the decoration. The en-suite shower room was a little snug, but the facilities were clean and adequate for our needs. Plenty of hot water for the shower too. It was also nice to have plenty of shampoo, shower gel and liquid soap provided. Remember to put the "Please service this room" notice on your door when you go out, otherwise you'll have to make your own bed when you return.
Breakfast was taken in the large lounge area, with another beautiful view across to the Cuillin Mountains. Service was slow, which would have been a bit of a problem if we'd needed to get away on time. The food was good, although I didn't appreciate the plastic, wipe clean table cloth on the smaller tables and the fresh fruit salad looked a bit rough.
This is a value for money guest house, in a beautiful location well away from the crowds. Don't expect anything too fancy or formal. The Isle of Skye is wonderful and we left it with a wish to come back.
Location
We were given directions to the Fairy Glen and this was the highlight of our trip. The instructions said "you will know it when you see it" - so true. In amongst the tall mountains and deep, wide lakes, we turned a corner and found the most delightful smaller version. Little hills, a small lake and a narrow winding road. The trees were smaller too and covered in a fluffy moss. If that wasn't enough, we were just taking in the ambiance when we heard bagpipes start up. On one of the larger hills about 1/4 mile away, we could make out a piper. His playing filled the little glen with a magical sound and we stood in awe for about 15 minutes, listening and watching until he slowly walked down the hill on the other side and the music gently faded away. I'm not sure that this is a regular occurrence. I think we were in the right place at the right time. Incredible.

Very large clean room, spotless en suite. Very warm welcome from a lovely hostess. Fantastic location with views to the sea and the Cuillin. We were not aware that the accommodation was vegetarian, and whilst it did not make any difference to us, it did come as a surprise to our fellow German guests! The hostess provides a very useful information pack and has a wealth of knowledge of the area.
Location
This is a part of the island that we had not explored before. We loved it. Quiet, beautiful with some of the island's best scenery, and mountains, beaches and more fantastic views just a short drive away.

Good welcome, good food and the local information that was provided was invaluable
Location
Skye has many places worth visiting and stupendous views (if you like that sort of thing). It is short of things to do if the weather is bad. We were lucky, sunshine all the time!!

The room was large and beautifully furnished, with a very large adjoining bathroom complete with jacuzzi and very modern and luxurious facilities. Our hostess was beyond accomodating, attentive to all our needs, and full of helpful information for sightseeing and dining. She even called the local restaurant for us to reserve a table, and packed lunches for our long drive back to Edinburgh. We even had a tin of cookies on our coffee/tea table, and fresh fruit was served each morning for breakfast, along with vegetarian sausage as an option to the standard fare. The location was convenient for exploring the Isle of Skye, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect B&B experience.
Location
the Isle of Skye is stunningly beautiful. We enjoyed the seal boat ride from Dunvegan castle, the Fairy Glen, hiking up to the Old Man of Storr, and shopping at the stores in Portree.
