The welcome was warm and friendly. The standard of the rooms was excellent and very clean, the hosts made a good effort to accommodate us with being an odd number. The food was acceptable and given at the time specified. Overall I think the Fern Villa was good value for money. The hosts were very helpfull with directions to the attractions we wished to visit and gave good advice on where to eat at night.

We were made to feel welcome when we arrived without the owners being intrusive. The rooms are beautifully decorated with a lot of attention to detail. The breakfast was indeed hearty and a lovely variety was served. Tourist information was given readily on request.

Location

We went from Fern Villa to Fort William and took the steam train to Mallaig. A wonderful way to spend a day. Beautiful scenery all around Fern Villa and much to see and do.

Breakfast was excellent. Rooms were clean and tidy, which is priority. Just a little old-fashioned. Hospitality was great.

The facilities were very good with pleasant and comfortable rooms. It was very quiet. The owners were very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was also very good with plenty of it.

Close to Glencoe and the Loch. Just a short walk to the pub where they served good bar meals.

Location

Only stayed as a quick overnight stop while travelling home from Dundonnel area. Seems to be a good area to stay longer but we have only ever travelled through. Maybe we will put that right some day!
